Open Settings > General > iPhone Storage.
  2. Select an App
Scroll through the list of apps, select the one you wish to clear, and review your options to clear cache depending on the app type.

Clear Cache in Safari

To delete Safari’s browser cache on iPhone, follow these steps:

  1. Open Settings
Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage and select Safari.
  2. Remove Website Data
Tap Website Data to view data by site. Tap Remove All Website Data and confirm with Remove Now.
    • Note: Deleting website data in Safari will also delete cookies; iOS doesn’t allow separate deletion of cookies and cache.

You can also remove individual site data by swiping left on a website and tapping Delete.

To delete cache in Chrome on iPhone:

  1. Open Chrome Menu
Tap the three dots in the bottom-right corner and select Clear browsing data.
  2. Select Cache Data
Ensure only Cached Images and Files is checked, then tap Clear Browsing Data and confirm.

Clear App Cache on iPhone

Unlike browser cache, app cache can’t be cleared through the app itself. Instead, you’ll need to delete and reinstall the app:

  1. Go to Settings
Navigate to Settings > General > iPhone Storage.
  2. Delete the App
Select the app you want to clear, then tap Delete App.
  3. Reinstall the App
Go to the App Store to reinstall the app. It will be reinstalled without previous cache data, freeing up storage.

How to Clear Cookies on iPhone

You can delete browser cookies via iOS Settings or the browser’s settings menu. However, note that deleting cookies will log you out of accounts and remove any site preferences you may have saved.

Clear Cookies in Safari

Tap the three dots and select Clear browsing data.

Tap Cookies, Site Data, then Clear Browsing Data to remove cookies from Chrome.
